Waterproof thanks to GORE-TEX®
Your feet stay dry and you stay healthy because the Scout black is permanently waterproof and extremely breathable. This is ensured by the three-layer GORE-TEX® membrane throughout the lining of the Scout black.
Secure hold thanks to anti-slip
The Scout black gives you stability in every position. To protect you against skidding, the sole of the Scout black with its special rubber compound and innovative tread construction offers extremely high slip resistance and grip on a wide variety of surfaces.
Robust and safe thanks to outer leather
The extreme robustness of the Scout black ensure your feet remain unscathed in the rough-and-tumble of everyday work. This is ensured by the resistant outer leather that cannot be damaged by pointed objects or sharp edges.
Extra slip-resistant with VIBRAM
You'll stand securely in the Scout black as it smooths your path on rough terrain. The sole of the Scout black has an optimal rubber compound and is therefore particularly slip-resistant, stable and stiff. This is the VIBRAM effect incorporated into the sole of the Scout black.
Relieving cushioning with HAIX absorption
You'll experience a comfortable feel in the Scout black even when you're out for several hours. Because the integrated cushioning wedge inside cushions your steps. We call this HAIX Absorption: for drive even on long working days.
Breathable with Climate System
In the Scout black your foot can breathe, because a special foam system ensures that the air circulates in the shoe and moisture can escape. The Climate System works like an air conditioning system in a shoe.
Optimal hold thanks to 2-zone lacing
The Scout black adapts perfectly to your foot in both the instep and the shaft area, so that it offers you optimal support. This is ensured by 2-Zone Lacing, an innovative 2-zone lacing system for foot and upper.
Precise fit thanks to special lasts
The right shoe for your feet. Thanks to specially designed lasts, your Scout black fits perfectly and provides ultimate wearing comfort, the whole day long.
The Scout black has been tested according to the standard DGUV 112-191 (BGR 191) and is therefore approved for orthopaedic insoles.
This allows the Scout black to be adapted even more optimally to the foot and to support its anatomical structure.
The Scout black is an all-season model, so it can be worn in both summer and winter. The shoe is breathable and waterproof thanks to the Gore-Tex membrane and with the help of our Sun Reflect System, it deflects sunlight so that heating can be minimised.
Be well equipped all year round with the Scout black.
Thanks to the two-zone lacing of the Scout black, the lacing can be quickly fixed and the shoe can be optimally adjusted to the foot. The lacing is first adjusted and fixed in the instep area and can then be variably adjusted in the shaft area. This combination provides support and stability.
The Scout black can be put on and taken off quickly and easily, so that the focus can be fully on the work.
On the one hand, the Scout black is suitable for hiking thanks to the torsionally stiff, well-cushioned and non-slip Vibram sole which provides stability, wearing comfort and safety. It is also waterproof and breathable thanks to the Gore-Tex membrane.
Particularly popular for easy to moderate hikes.
The Scout black can be cared for quickly and easily. With black shoe polish, which does not impair the breathability of the leather, and a waterproofing agent, the shoe is ready for any weather. For this model, we especially recommend our black shoe polish, which contains Sun Reflect pigments. This minimises the heating of the shoe by 20%.
The uncomplicated care of the Scout black ensures long-lasting enjoyment of the shoe's quality.
From experience, the Scout black tends to run smaller. We therefore recommend chooding one size larger.
Expreience has shown that the shoe runs one size smaller.
You can find all the right spare parts for our shoes on our spare parts page.
We produce in a UK shoe size system. The distance between our half UK sizes is only a few millimetres. This makes it more likely to find exactly the right shoe length.
Half UK sizes differ in length by only a few millimetres.
You can simply wash the dirty shoes with water and a brush. Please do not dry the wet shoes (even if they are wet on the inside) on an open fire, a hot stove or a heater. This will change the shape of the shoe. Simply remove the footbed and stuff the shoes with newspaper or use a shoe tree. Then allow the shoes to air dry slowly. We recommend washing the footbed regularly at 30°. In general, it is best to remove the footbed from the shoes after every wear to ensure optimal re-drying.
Simply clean it with a brush and water and let it air dry.
